Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) is an accredited higher education institution specializing in health professions training, operating under Mildmay Uganda and offering certificate to diploma programs in nursing, midwifery, and medical laboratory technology to address critical healthcare workforce gaps.
Established as an autonomous entity in 2017 from Mildmay Uganda's Training and Education Directorate, MIHS focuses on developing compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals through its four schools: Nursing and Midwifery, Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Applied Sciences. Rooted in Christian values and aligned with Uganda's Vision 2040, the institute combines academic rigor with practical training, particularly in HIV care, palliative medicine, and health system leadership, to strengthen national and regional healthcare systems.
